Where are you now?

Office moves happen. In addition to communicating your move proactively with patients and referral sources, you most likely know the importance of promptly updating your practice Web site and social media sites with your new address and phone number. But that is only one part of your online identity.

Patients in your community searching for new providers frequently use other Web sites like Google, Yelp, Healthgrades and Vitals to gather basic information and determine the closest office to them. And these sites frequently appear on the first page of a search. However, unless you claim and update your personal profile, a search will most likely show your prior address rather than your new one, creating confusion for patients and causing you lost business from potential new patients.

So when a move is on your horizon, be sure to budget some extra time to go in and update all of your professional profiles to ensure people know where you are now.
